really? Only real expense is the engine itself. Maybe a hose or two, but you can reuse the cops if you grind the bolt hole off, invert the wires, extend a few sensors.

Aviator engines go from 1200-1700 depending on the milage and salvage yard. Online is going to be your best bet.

I'm going to have to agree with a few others and say $5k isn't enough to do a quality swap. You will need the harness, engine, cams, intake, fuel system, then you'll need someone to tune it so it runs right. There's just a lot to do and unfortunately $5k runs out reeeeeally fast when you have a Ford. FORD = Forking Over Riches Daily

The reason i want a 4v is beacuse it has better air flow than 2v
There is more potential in a 4v

Im trying to get a high hp motor thats n/a then i would add a blower and maby some funny gas

I know i could get a 4v engine with built block for 4k

wrong wrong wrong wrong wrong wrong wrong.

an aviator has the same cams as the mach, maurader, and cobra of 03/04. the heads are the same. yes the guts suck, but to just get an engine in and going its a great bet.

You dont need the harness, you dont need the pcm. You can modify the 2v harness, which is extending and inverting the cop wires, extending the iac/tps and thats it. The fuel rail will work, its returnless, you drop a 4v tune into the pcm and go about your merry way.

engine 2k, tune 500, a few extras etc 500, your at 3k. you can put some cams, and long tubes and rock a 370hp motor, swap to a mach/cobra intake and get closer to 400 and have a hell of a fun ride

I need to one day find a super cheap 99-04 GT roller and let you go to work on it. As much power as possible for 4-5K, lol.

cams are the last piece of the puzzle, when you have all your other pieces, you pick out your cams to tie them all together. MHS has good ones, comps got a few good grinds also
