'01 Bullitt: Give me your input

Ever since the '01 Bullitt made its debut back when I was in HS it instantly became one of my top dream cars. I had a '01 Mustang V6 up until 2010 when I traded it in for a 2010 Camaro SS. Regardless of owning a Camaro now I am still a diehard Mustang fan. Well, I'm thinking its time to get that dream car in the near future. I want my 2001 Bullitt but I want yalls input on the car first.
What's it's strong points? What's it's weak points?
I want drivers' input!!! Thanks!

Bullet is mostly cosmetic changes. It does have underdrive pulleys and a aluminum intake manifold similar to the tfs. Personally id get a gt if your looking for a project car

Yeah I saw it. Looks great. Even after 10 years I still don't know if I want DHG or Black. My '01 Mustang was black and my Camaro is black. I love black cars if you can't tell but that DHG is sexy!!!!

Please elaborate on that. I've never owned a 2v V8. I know the power is only 280hp on the Bullitt but where is that power come in at. How does that motor hold up to boost considering its not forged. I'm not sure if I would make it a project car or not but I know I would be highly tempted. Closer to factory the better for me.

Yeah DHG is nice. I like blue too, since you NEVER see them. Very rare.

I know you like Bullitts and all, but what about a Mach 1? Few more grand youll have a hell of a car. Stock they run low 13's with a decent driver. And much better starting platform.

If your dead set on a Bullitt, go for it.

The Bullitt has the same exact motor as the GT except the intake manifold, and u/d pulleys. So as far as limits on the motor, its the same as the GT. But the intake cleans up the engine bay a lot lol. Makes it look a lot better.

Like he said, the Bullitt has better brakes, subframe connectors, springs (little lower then a GT) I believe it has Tokico shocks/struts, gauge cluster (same as the Machs) seats (a lot of people say Bullitt seats are the best) no spoiler, red calipers....couple other things.

Back when I was a teacher one of my coworkers had a Mach 1 but it just didn't do it for me. I know its a better platform with the 4v V8 but the Bullitt really does it for me. While I don't really expect it to perform like my Camaro I do expect it to move when I put the spurs it in lol. The blue Bullitts are rare but I'm not really a blue kinda guy. All the ones I've seen are DHG.

Yeah, I love the interior of the Bullitts. The seats look incredible. What kinda boost (psi) can the stock 2v handle and still be "safe"? The Bullitt suspension is nice from the factory but I'd probably drop in some H&R springs and lower it just a bit more.

Mach didnt do it for yah?? Wow. I think the Machs are the best looking new edges. Idk...just really retro.

Stock bullitt wont be much faster then a stock GT. But like I said, if thats what you like, then go for it.

I'm not saying the Mach 1 isn't a beautiful car bc it is. I just love the simplicity of the Bullitt. Something about being more "simple" looking on the outside really appeals to me. I was really hoping they would make a 2010+ Bullitt. If they did, I wouldn't own a Camaro right now.

I'm honestly pretty glad that they did not end up making another Bullitt, it cheapens the value of it being a special edition if it comes out every year.

I mean what are you wanting to know. I drive the car every single day for the most part and I enjoy it. The seats are pretty comfortable and you feel pretty secure in them thanks to the bigger side bolsters. If you have ever driven a 99-04 mustang gt it is basically the same thing.

I didnt like the 08 Bullitts. Then they threw the 08 Bullitt motor in the 2010 GT's. The 2010 GTs were the retards of the group. New body style, with the S197 motor. I feel bad for their owners.

I dont think they should make another Bullitt either. I like the fact that they made another Boss. Those things are straight up redonkulous.

Id like to see a new Mach 1 eventually.
