If its a street car stick with stage 1 cams of some sort. Stage 2 cams will make more PEAK HP but a stage 1 cam setup will make more power under the curve and be quicker stop light to stop light. Most people get cams for sound anyways though (which couldnt be more wrong)

Check out modularheadshop.com

They have some great packages and some good camshaft selections

Tfs makes a compleat heads cam and valtrain package but im not sure how good their cams are. But their heads are nice. I don't really sugest putting those heads on a stock rotator.

What's your budget? Trick Flows are the only true aftermarket performance castings for the modular engines. Everyone else just ports out stock castings and calls them performance. You can see that in the price too. That's why you're going to pay more for Trick Flows, but IMO they are worth it.

For you standard bolt on car with a stage 1 or 2 cam - ported stockers work great. The trick flow may put up a little better peak hp numbers but the stock ported heads will make more power under the curve.

The TFS heads are great but not required. A good set of ported PI heads and smallish aftermarket cams will make great power. You can get the TFS stuff as a package but I sure Nick at Modular Head Shop can put something together for you as well.
