Anybody had this happen to them

Well today i went and bought some seafoam and I poured some in my tank and the little bit i had left i was going to suck up into my intake to clean the top out alittle well i popped the hood and my damn air filter had fell off the CIA tube at some point and time i dont know when it happened but my cars been eating dirty air for god knows how long wish i had of looked sooner B/C my car was running kind of pour but i thought it was just dirty injectors or something. I sure am glad I looked today. And now I know that my CIA is a home made one B/C why on earth would a company make the damn filter so hard to put on.

Whoa dude, that seriously sucks fucking ass... I'd take apart the whole intake and plenum and all and clean it all out as much as I could... that totally sucks man.

Thats pretty crappy. Who knows how much just you have been sucking in. I would deff be getting a "real" CAI if i was you. And yes i would say a JLT would do nicely. Sorry to hear about that bud.

i had it happen to me on my old cai set up. i just put it back on and off i went. i havent had any problems with my c&l set up that i have now. in my old mustang i would run without the headlight and airfilter assembly at the track, but it was a v6 and all stock.
