Headers & Engine Size

Couple questions:

1. I see numbers like 302 351 etc when referring to engines. What do these numbers mean? And what number are 4.6L GTs?

2. Will long tube headers make me not pass emissions? I live in Arizona. I had my heart set on some LTs but I hear theyre a bitch to install and if I have to take them off every 2 years...I dont want to get them.

Thanks for any input

they are refering to the cubic inches of the engine.
our 4.6's are 281s

yes they are illegal and yes they are a bitch to install

if the headers have a CARB # they should pass as long as you get
a matching H or X with cats.

to be honest with you from the research i've done i don't think any long tubes are capable of passing smog. Even if you have emission legal cats...(feel free to correct me if im wrong)

That all depends on how strict your emissions are. I know here in NY LT's make it hard to pass, but I have heard it can be done.
