This, too. I keep putting my elbow up, then trying to roll the window down further, only to realize its the weather stripping.

I think a 4v is the way to go, it's your best bang for the buck. A 2v is great, but it needs boost to be powerful. At least if you're doing cheap bolt-on's, exhaust, and cosmetic add-on's, you don't really have to worry about spending a lot to make power.

Me personally, I'd take an N/A Cobra over a Mach 1, too. Mach 1s are more dragstrip oriented, Cobras are more corner oriented.... well, at least until the Termie, but as I've said a few times before, my opinion is that the Termie should have been a Mach 1, not a Cobra.

I was talking to some people about it, and i think I'm going to go with an 01 cobra. It sounds cooler to say you own a cobra. IMO. And a cobra is what I've always wanted anyways.

The one thing that would push me to buy an 99/01 cobra vs. a mach1 is the read end (IRS vs. SRA). They both look good to me.

i love mine. i have always loved the sound of the 2v 4.6's with exhaust. they look awesome lowered. the hood scoop looks good even though its fake. fairly cheap to mod compared to 05+ mustangs. the engines are known to last long. the mach audio system sounds awesome. you can find a decent one for around 7000

oh and the engines are a cakewalk to work on if you need too..(coils, plugs, air filter etc) anything really. its all on top and fairly easy to get too. get a 01 or newer with the tr 3650 transmission. assuming u'd get a 5spd. its the earliest tranny for those cars..99 and 00 have a t45 or t5 not sure which one. someone correct me.. the tremec 3650's are kinda common to have synchronizer issues (grind going into gear) just a heads up so test drive one and drive it hard through the gears.

So, I've made my decision. it's just gonna be easier on me to buy a new edge, then to even think of building up my car. All i wanna do is, gears, exhaust, intake, CAI, and tune. And i wouldn't touch it for awhile. I think that's pretty reasonable and would make some pretty decent power. Plus better gas mileage.
I have to replace my rear shocks in my car now, get 2 new tires, finish interior painting (maybe). What do you guys think i should price my car at? 6k but try and get 5,500? the only visial problems wit hthe car is it has adent in the front quarter panel with paint chipping (sad sad day that was) but not too bad, and the rear bumper has a spider web effect going on. i bought it for 5k but I've made it look hella better and run way better. So do you thing 5500 or 6k is reasonable?

I have had 2 96 GT's and a 98 Cobra with an 03/04 IRS that was moded for road racing, it road like a buckboard but out handled my 06 Corvette in the twisties. I think the 99/04 body style is better than the 94/98 and that's my .02
