Check engine light on now off?

So my check engine light has been on since the day I got my mustang. It was on because I do not have any cats on her. Got a code read and it matched up. I have never had any problems with my car since I have had her just an annoying check engine light over nothing.

But night before last night we got first snowfall here in AK. So at like 2am I went to the local high school and was drifting around in the snow. Forgot I was driving a manual for a second and stalled it

. But I turned it on kept drifting no problems or nothing. A few minutes later I noticed my check engine light was no longer on. Not sure when it actually turned its self off but this was when I noticed it.

So I figured maybe some snow got in a sensor or something somewhere so I parked her in the garage over night to let all the snow and ice melt. Turned the car on and still no check engine light. And the light is not burnt out because it lights up just like all the other dashboard lights when you first start the car.

I am not complaining that my check engine light is no longer on lol I am just not sure why it is no longer on and if anybody knows why or has any ideas I am very curios.

P.S. Mustang does awesome in the snow actually. I thought it was going to be a long winter but so far she is doing amazing. Just with sandbags and a pair of studded tires

I've noticed on my car when I had no cats my cel would sometimes turn off depending on how LNG or short car was turned off. Almost like ecu is resetting. It was strange but it always occurred around inspection time. I guess the Lord was just helping me out lol.

hmmm I think you are right because mine came back on today. Going to get the code read tomorrow and make sure it is still the same lol

Buy MIL eliminators or get a handheld tuner to turn off the rear O2's

yep, a tuner is on my Christmas wish list because I can kill 2 birds with 1 stone. I just hope my gf loves me enough to get it for me....... I better start doing some work
