With bolt on it could have been more. And his ET Streets are clearly showing in the picture. I'm not that familiar with nitrous but it is the oxidizer and you have to add fuel to it. Because of that it shouldn't be affected by the thinner air at higher altitudes. With those tires, 330+ rwhp and a decent driver he should be able to run 12.9.
Was not a dig on anybody's car... just trying to put in perspective what these cars should run.

I do not have the dyno sheets anymore, I might be able to find them on an old computer though... but on a 100 shot the car only put 313 HP and 346 foot pounds to the tire. Thats with zero SAE correction, basically thats what it put down to the dyno and no manipulation of the data.

The car had factory springs in it, factory rear control arms, factory front control arms, stock K member. The whole nine yards.

I had 26x11.5x15 ET street on the car, and a set of Prostars.

I really am not trying to downgrade any cars here, just saying that the cars that all have posted in here have much more potenial than are being shown.

I have been 10.42 @ 409 uncorrected horsepower...

Uncorrected just means its the actual power that the car is making at this altitude. Keeps everything fair kinda.

^^ Yeah well does your car handle decent? Brake good? I mean your cars seem to be pretty well setup for the track. What does it matter what they "should" run. Drivers, tracks, suspension, weight, etc all play a big roll. Again, not every car is track oriented.

Awesome thread! But most of the times are pretty slow but that goes to show how important suspension, the driver, and tires are.

This point it doesn't, it stops great actually, but turning is not to be done when going fast.

But when it was all factory suspension it drove just like it did from Ford. Was full interiored no cage or weight reduction...

I will say my car is slow I've only been to the track 4 times this year. Most cars posted in here are just for fun. I've only seen a handful of cars built for drag racing only on here.

i have only ran my car twice, and i don't beat on it or street race either so it was a pretty neat experience. i definitely need more seat/track time. i'm sure my car should be capable of pulling 7.7's or so with my power pretty easy, i just suck at driving lol.

i just thought this thread would be a neat idea considering how many of us run centri blowers on here.

mods, feel free to make this a sticky if you don't mind!!!

practice makes perfect, from what i have been reading alot of folks here are learning and the big killer on time isnt the power but driver and traction. 1.8+ sixty foot times will end up being a rather high time. for beginners i always tell people to focus on the first 60 ft. it is the most important part of the race and should be watched the closest. the diff between a 1.8 sixty and a 1.6 is alot of time and if one can push faster than that i promis the times will look way better. the days of drag radial passes really falls short once you get into wanting to squeeze the lemon for all its juice and get a max effort time. running a good bias ply tire with a sound FRONT and REAR suspention will be a night and day change.

Also everyone seems to think track conditions are the same for everyone, there simply not. Some tracks are prepped, others not so much.

Its just fucking retarded to be saying it should run this and that, sure maybe at your local track. Hell I'm surprised this same bullshit hasnt been shown in the kenne bell thread.

my track actually hooked halfway decent today. i only posted this thread to give a general idea as to what these cars run with what power level, boost, etc...plenty of people post their times but rarely do they post all their mods or other things they think we should know. i probably should have added a part for density altitude and weather conditions as well, probably would be helpful.

i'm not new to going and watching, but i am new to going and running. i think the learning curve is harder on me because i'm starting out with a full out blown built motor instead of with an n/a car.

it makes me wish i had learned to drag race with it prior to the blower, and that i had a dedicated drag car to beat the piss out of. i want an n/a 99-04 car with weight reduction and suspension mods to start out with so bad it isn't funny.

Hell yeah it's fun at the dragstrip!
It takes time to be a good driver, don't sweat it.

Your dyno indicates to me that you should be able to trap around 93-94MPH on a good day.

If I were you I'd put about 15-16PSI in those rear tires and try that out.
With more practice, you can probably pick up a couple of tenths in the 60' and another couple tenths with quicker shifting. Then you'll need to get some 15" rims and get serious. There's nothing like a 1.5x 60' and getting some air under the front tires to get the adrenaline flowing! When I make a really good launch it feels really gooooood...

I also believe I may be slipping the belt at high rpm causing a power loss. Tracks closed for the year so well do it over again next season. Main thing I need to work on is my 60's. Best I got was a 2.0, my buddy got a 1.86 and he's a seasoned racer with 300+ passes under his belt. Of course my car is completely different lol.
