Brake problems, pedal is spongy

I bought a set of cobra calipers and put them on the other day and bleed them and the pedal was still mushy, in the process i sucked air through the master cylinder and had to bleed all 4 corners. I bled each wheel RR, LR, RF, LF. in that order and didnt see anymore air in the clear line. Couldnt figure it out and the mechanic at the shop i was at said he though the calipers where the problem so i swapped them out and put my old ones back on and still couldnt get it to work
so now im still stuck with stock calipers and rotors and now they dont work either, i dont know what to do. On the bright side i went through almost 2 quarts of brake fluid trying to get it figured out so now it has fresh fluid in it.
any ideas on what in the world could still be causing this?
and forgot to add my abs light was going on and off before I worked on the brakes and now its on and hasnt went off
edit: after reading up on things, i think it might be the master cylinder with air in it. seems like the most logical choice.

no i didnt bleed either one, im going to bleed the master cylinder tomorrow but i cant find any info on bleeding the abs system. best thing i found was hit your brakes on a slick surface to kick the pump on lol. have no idea if they would even work
