75 mm Throttle Body, Plenum, 90mm Maf

I just got these parts for a steal used and wondering if I'll benefit from them and if it will run nicely. I've heard I need to change the injectors aswell to match it with the maf? I dont understand...

The car is being sprayed 125 shot....

Thanks

what else do you have done? usually basic bolt on GT's wont benefit from bigger throttle bodies, as they are designed more for forced induction, not naturally aspired engines because they do not provide the increased air flow the TB is designed for

and since nitrous isnt really forcing more air into your engine, im not sure it will benefit you much, especially because the FI isnt there all the time as compared to a super or turbo

correct me if im wrong though, i would have went with a 70mm

Everything I have heard is not to go past a 70mm on a bolt on car.

Yeah, maybe I'll just keep the parts on the shelf until I supercharge it.

The argument against the 75mm TB is the velocity vs. volume discussion. For high rpm cammed motor that might be a problem. But I've heard it not so much of a problem on basically stock cars. The 75mm TB/plenum will probably give you 2-3 rwhp and a lot of people report better throttle response with it. If you disconnect your battery before you start the swap, reconnect it when you are done, and let the motor idle for about 10-15 minutes, the ECU will relearn the new parameters.

The MAF will require a new tune and is of no benefit to you at this time. You stock MAF is good to around 360-370 rwhp.

yeah dont throw the maf on, however might as well put on the tb/plenum. I have a 75mm on mine, sounds like a very similar setup, and i have zero issues.

Thanks guys,

Yea bottled2v we have pretty much the exact set up, except for the penguin in the trunk.

What gaskets will I need to install this? Looks like TPS and 2 other sensor spots, and the plenum---> intake gasket.

Just get them at the ford stealership?

you can prolly get by with reusing your stock one as long as you dont rip/tear the iac or tps sensor gaskets. the plenum gasket should be fine also.

I just put the throttle body and plenum on this morning and it runs as good or better than stock. After some acceleration testing I noticed a little more power around 4k rpm, may have lost some down lower though, but I could say there is some increase overall..
Thanks guys
