Should I Get a Dyno Tune???

For those of you have followed my last couple threads then you guys will be able to help me the most...

I talked to the owner of a performance shop that is actually right here in Valdosta and he told me that a dyno tune would actually help"save" my engine while also obviously squeezing out a bit more power...is this true? if so should i do it? Im prolly not gonna do any kind of FI or cams anytime soon so I will just have the mods in my sig plus I might do some gears and some UDP...If i get a dyno tune, what type of power should I expect to see?

Sorry, I don't remember your last couple of threads. I don't really know what you mean by "save" your motor. If you're not going to do anything thing else but bolt ons (no spray, FI or cams) then you don't normally need a dyno tune. A canned 93 octane tune will pretty much give you what you need.

I have just been having compression problems with my engine..all my numbers (75-95) pretty low but my car seems to run great...after alot of talk we think its a problem with my timing chain...but i have just decided to hold off on any type of big mod like a blower or cams until a bit later down the road cuz by then ill prolly want to upgrade shortblocks anyway...OR...i been really thinking about getting a Lightning this summer..but i cant make up my mind fully yet...

Can anybody ballpark hp/tq numbers I might have after a dyno tune and the mods i mentioned..? I would hope around ~260 at least...could low compression hurt my numbers? How much of a difference would i see between the canned tune i already have and a dyno tune???

Sinse you dont have baseline dyno numbers its hard to predict how much hp/tq your stang puts out.
