Camshaft sensor in motor?

So my car just got back from getting cams and headers installed with a check engine light on for camshaft position sensor. Thought no big deal just need to replace it. Tonight i went in to replace it and when i pull it out, its completely broke with thin copper strands hanging from it. The whole part that sticks in the motor is gone but its running completely fine. Ideas or am i eventually gonna be screwed?

I would take it back to them and tell them now they can pull it apart again and find the pieces. Thats bs. Makes you wonder why it broke doesnt it?

If they just did cams, they probably used the timing chain tool to hold the chains in place while replacing the cams. When they were pulling the tool out they accidently hit the timing sensor and cracked it.

Did you get adjustable cam gears so they could degree the cams up top.

I would not take the chance! It will most likely mess up and leave you stranded when your the furthest away from home! I would take it back and make them fix it since they did the work. If they don't I would take it to the B.A.R. I am not talking your local watering hole either! LOL
