Hi...I'm searching for a mustang between 97-2006, v8 engine. Preferably a manual transmission. Basically stock (if any mods exhaust system...maybe sound system.) Clean. Close to my area. (48458 michigan) Priced between $$0-8900.
Its very difficult to find a good deal so I came on here in hopes that the true mustang enthusiasts can help. Thanks for taking time to read this and respond.

From 97-06 you have 3 body changes. You need to figure out which one you like the best and narrow it down that way. Where I live in California you would be hard pressed to find a good 05 or 06 for 8900. I like the 99-04 body style the best in my opnion untill you get to the new 5.0 2011 mustang. That's where I would start first then figure out what those years are selling for in your area. Best of luck to you!

You should look for a nice, clean southern car (no road salt damage). For your dollar amount I'd suggest 99-04 GT.

The 4.6 started in 96, if you want a mustang for cheap that you could throw mods at and still have money left over, go for a 96-98 non-pi 4.6. If you want decent power out of the factory, and decent miles go with a 99-04 mustang gt. I have an 02 GT. I have raced non-pi's when i was stock and annihilate them every time. If you look at the numbers, 215hp out of a 96-98 compared to 260hp out of a 99-04, theres a big difference, especially low end torque... My suggestion, find a 99-04 GT with around 100k miles, theyre found from anywhere between $6500 and about $9000. You wont be disappointed.

Come to Louisiana and get mine. Its an 03 GT with a manual trans and 69k miles. I would let it go for $7,500.

If you want to you can. I doubt it will ever happen, since im not advertising and I doubt anyone will ever just walk up wanting to buy my car.

In my opnion I would stick with a car that has the PI heads because you will be that much further ahead of the game. I don't really like the 94-98 body style, but that is just my prefrence. To each there own. I went and looked at a 2012 5.0 today and I really like my 02 body style better! I think it needs to grow on me some more.... Good luck with a car....
