compression?


want to go heads an cam i was looking at trick flows 38 cc an 44cc but both raise compression too 10:1 i dont want to raise my compression because somewhere down the road i want to boost my car but if im going to boost my car then should i not bother with heads an just go for cams?

both do not raise the compression..44cc will keep compression around the same 38cc will raise the compression to about 10:5:1

compression is ok with boost just make sure the timing and fuel are right for the set up. 10:1 and 7psi are doable on 91 octane. Get a meth kit and you can do better. Or go e85 and you have a nice setup

44cc will lower the compression
38cc will help a little.

mid 01-04
44cc stock shortblock...about 9.3:1
38cc stock shortblock...about 10:1

99-mid 01
44cc-8.9:1 ish
38cc-9.7:1 ish
