I need new tires, any recommendations?

Hey guys,

Tires are so worn the metal mesh is showing.. ready to have a nice POP.

I was looking at good year's Eagle GT tires, they seem to be pretty nice.

Does any one have any idea where I can get some great performance tires locally today that won't break the bank?

Thanks

Seems to me, I recall you were gonna get a big bad-boy motor built with all the fixins... right?

You have a heavy foot, but figure this is off the line? and at the TRACK right.....? A Nitto 555R is a nice tire for such grip and OK in a latteral sense for the street. You CANNOT run them in freezing temps, though The compound will be damaged in such conditions, so you need to get them off the street below 40* temps.

My Mustang is a DD that makes 15 or less passes down the track per year. In a tire, I look more for something that lasts long, is cheap, good quality, and looks good

I've been through several different sets of tires and I finally found some that worked really well for me.

I am currently running some Fierce Instinct tires...I think dunlop makes them. They have lasted longer for me than any other tire. (25000 miles). I'm about to buy another set! Theyre about $140 each, mounted/balanced. They work for me

Temps appearently need to be lower than I thought for damage, but....

Nitto 555R Recommendations on proper use and handling

I would by no means recommend driving on them in 15* temps lol. They're like riding on ice...even when the roads not icey.

Hell, my PS2's are like driving on rocks until they warm up in 50* temps. I cannot imagine what an "R" comp tire would feel like getting it rolling in 15* weather... lol
