Lowering my Mustang (Not for dragging)

I have been doing a lot of searching and it seems that most people lower their car for dragging but I want to lower it more for spirited turns and to look good. I am a college student that works part-time and full-time when I can so I am on a budget but do not want to cheap out. So far I'm looking at bumpsteer kit, C&C plates, Possible Stedda X2 balljoints, replacing all the bushings in the suspension, H&R Super Sport springs, Tokico D-Spec Adjustable shocks and struts (I don't plan on adjusting them to much but I want to go real low), FLSFC welded in come spring. Let me know what you think! Open to suggestions!

I have a 2000 GT Vert thats only got catbacks, intake, will have underdrive pulleyes on after winter along with an SCT tuner and Bama tunes. Thanks in advance for the help!

If you want to go REAL low, get a set of coilovers for the front(might be out of budget) and some nice springs for the back.
You can go real low with any of theses coil springs.
-H&R SS
-Sportlines
-dropforce

I was planning on the H&R SS kit since the advertise the biggest drop for a vert. I'm not exactly sure how coilovers work. Like I know they are like a spring but I still need struts right? Kind of a noob questoin I'm just getting in to the lowering and performance stuff, all I've done is regular maintenance on my previous cars since they were not cars you put money into hah

As of right now, your springs and struts are 2 entirely different units. Coilovers combine the spring and strut into 1 unit. Like this:

@Mcqueen: +1 Thanks for explaining that for me! Why should I only do coilovers in the front not the rear?

@faym 08: I'll definitely check them out

@joswo1980: Hows your car handle tho? idk how much I would want to not be able to hit speed bumps or potholes especially in my area. Which I just noticed your not to far away! Do you DD your car even tho you run into problems? Do you only scrape your bumper or do you scrap the bottom of the car too?

No my car is not a DD, just weekends and stuff, and yes u scrape the whole under carriage, handles pretty decent but u feel every crack in the road, soon it will be just track car once I finish the suspension

Well going that low might be a problem then. I DD my car since I can't afford 2 cars at once yet, hopefully soon though. Whats your whole set up? and What else do you have planned?

@moosenuk: Damn. I don't like the sound of scraping every where but I will love the look and how it handles. Will coilovers be stiffer? Or do you wish you went with them so you could adjust them?
