yes thats a good price. offer them 1000 because the picture shows a throttle body open to the elements subject to getting dirt and other objects in it

Offer them a $1000 for it only if you need an engine and don't have the funds to build one.

Junkyard engines and tranny's are a shot in the dark, as you can see in the photo the TB and IAC have not been capped off. Also a lot of time's they show you a nice engine pic but that is not the engine you'll be getting.

Junkyard deals = buyer beware

If your anywhere near Marin Co., California, I will sell you mine (unless you are willing to pay for shipping)

Getting a new Livernois this Winter and absolutely NOTHING bad/wrong with my 4.6 2V SOHC motor. Just turning 87K and been using full syn every 3K miles since I've owned it at 33K

Ive had great deals with junkyard motors. Ive got over 5 Aviator motors from junkyards and they all run great. And usually they offer some sort of warranty...

I am going to put a vote towards an aviator motor, more power and if you look don't be surprised if you can find one for less than the one in your link.

The old rule of thumb. Red flags = probably not a good idea. This has many red flags. Look around at your other local advertisers. There always seems to be someone with a damaged car with an engine for sale cheap.

I've seen several great looking engines in the $400-$900 range with a verifiable mileage and history. Good luck.

Hmm, good to see that's what motors are going for. My motor will be up for sale very soon, and it's supposedly got under 40k on it, is a P71 Interceptor spec, mated to a Centerforce clutch and Mach 1 T3650 transmission. Shoot me a PM if you're close by and interested.

Also I bet the intake tube was off because he was ready to pull it out. Intake tube was one of the first things I took off to get it ready to come out.
