How can I tell if i have 4.10 gears?
Bought this mustang a while back its an 03 mustang gt.. its lowered and has an after market clutch and some other mods.. Im just wondering if maybe the gears in it are 4.10... anyway I would be able to tell?

60 mph should be right at 2,000 RPM in 5th, at least thats how it is on mine, 70 would be closer to 2500
give me a second and ill try to find the gear/mph chart on the site

Or, they could have written it on the differential. Thats what they did with mine.

Your 5th gear ratio should be .62 because it is 03+
Remember that when calculating anything

Easy check. Jack up the axle then spin the driveshaft by hand. If it takes 3.5 revolutions of the d-shaft for one complete revolution of the tire you have 3.55. If it takes 3.73 turns then you have 3.73's. Finally if you turn the driveshaft a little over 4 times to make the tire spin once then you have 4.10's

Jack the car up on jack stands, mark the driveshaft with chalk or a marker. Put car in N and slowly spin the tire 1 full turn while counting how many times the mark on the driveshaft goes around. 4+ a little more is 4.10 gears.

^^This is the only way to be sure. There are too many other variables that affect the speed/rpm comparison. One of which is making sure your speedometer and tach read correctly.
