Sct tuner issue.

Dumb question. How do you unmarry an sct tuner for an ecu

I am trying to unmarry friends sct from his newly wrecked mustang. It powered on and when we hit return to stock, it then says unable to unmarry from ecu.

What needs to be done to unmarry it and use it on my 99-04?

If you can't get the car to return to stock, you'll have to send it to SCT and pay them a fee of $150 to unlock it. I would try returning it to stock a few more times.

But why won't it unlock, I don't understand. 150 isn't bad at all. Better than 379 from am

Bringing this back to life instead of a new thread.

Insurance took ownership of the car and couldn't get it unlocked.

Friend gave me the tuner(free). I emailed sct with no response. What info do I need to send it in to get unlocked?

Will they need my vin, mods, etc. will I still get bama tunes?
