e-brake electrical Connection- Vert

So it seems as though the electrical connection in my e-brake keeps deciding not to work. Considering I have a convertible this creates a problem cause if I can't get the e-brake light to go on, I can't get my top to go up or down.

I haven't removed my center console yet to take a look - Is this switch rebuildable?

yeah its simple. I just removed the sensor so the car thinks the ebrake is always on, and then I removed the ebrake bulb from the dash.

fix the problem the right way

start at the fuse box, then check the connection at the ebrake... maybe it's a short somewhere??

It has to be at the e-brake, because sometimes it lights up the first time and sometimes it takes 10 tries before it comes on.

So I have to pull the center console and I'll see a sensor attached to the e-brake ratcheting mechanism?
