Degreeing cams for a first timer is tough, I won't lie, I had trouble my first time but I did have step by step instructions and that made it much easier. Id recommend picking up Sean Hylands book, How to build max performance Ford mod engines. There's a nice set of step by step instructions on how to do it.

$800 for an install on a SOHC? Man, I am in the wrong business.

I did cams, springs, and degreeing on my DOHC motor myself, and I'm an idiot. As mentioned before, you need a ton of patience for those damned retainers/stem locks though.

I had 32 valves and no way did it take 4-6 hours. Took me forever on the first few, but once you get the hang of it you can fly. And you guys have half the valves/cams I do.

Hell, I'm going to start charging $750 for cams. Any takers?

Super easy to do, I got my cams half off so they were 300so and then all I paid for were cam bolts and gaskets, took me about 2-3 hours to do and it was my first ttime!
