What do I need...
I want around 550 at the wheels next year.. I believe my set up is in my signature. I am at 400 at wheels right now.. Do I need complete bottom end?

You definitely need forged rods as they are the weakest link in the stock engine.
Personally if I was wanting to get 550 rwhp I would go with a completely forged shortblock. While at it you might as well get some ported heads, so order your shortblock with notched pistons for sure unless you have the money to buy the TFS heads. No need for piston notching with those heads.

What is the crank good for RPM wise?

550 rwhp can be made on the stock crank, i would suggest to get forged I beam rods with a good set of forged pistons. the stock slugs have a real shallow top so they chip and brake off easily.

not sure why your looking to pull so many rpm's but 6500 at 600 rwhp is a good safe level for the stock crank once it is balanced. a forged crank is heavy, but stronger and handle more rpm's. for that setup your asking for better quality parts, like a steel crank, H beam rods, arp 2000 rod bolts, and of course pistons. some may say that is over kill but imo better safe than sorry.

I figure i might as well just pull the engine, would be easier in the long term, to torque everything etc. so I am going to look at MMR short blocks I guess

uhm.... I can't take a stock engine with 10 psi of boost. and put a 150 shot on it.... 550 may not hold up too well on a stock engine

Fuel, Rods, Pistons, cams, and 16psi should make close to 550rwhp. Depending on how aggressive the cams are. If you have the cash, Id get a AIS methanol setup too and throw 18psi-20psi at it. Im sure the V3 Si can support that.

Hmmmmm, will have to see next year.. I am tired of this car being slow... I think I need to run a taller tire for more of that freight train effect

A taller tire will probably make it feel slower. Run a 28" tire with the 4.10s itll be more like 3.73s.

Thing is it hits 180 real fast, then its over... I don't know.. I need something.. I know my current set up with 500 horse would not work... would spin all gears

180 mph or 108 mph? With 4.10 gears and a 26" tire your pushing into the red at 114 mph. A taller tire would help that out. The taller sidewall would also help out on the launch.
