I got mine today. Not sure which one is on the car haven't got to it yet. But the part you will see will be a plug or im assuming threads. The older one looks like it has threads on it for a bolt unless a tube slides over it but it does not look like a regular fitting.

My car does the same thing. Whenever the car is cold or has sat for a little while, when you start it up the oil pressure gauge doesn't move. Once the car has been running for a little bit it will go to normal, and it will move up and down till it decides it wants to stay up. I tested my car when it was cold to make sure I have oil pressure. Its just the gauge going bad. Not like the Oil pressure gauge on our cars is worth anything. The gauge is an 8 PSI trigger.

Yes, it's an idiot light with a needle. But I know several people who have driven their cars with the idiot light on only to lock up the motor. It is most likely the oil pressure switch going bad not the guage and that is a cheap, easy fix.

Most likely gonna switch mine out tomorrow or thursday, Pouring rain out today and no room in the garage for it.
