Modification Estimates

Hey guys,

So me and my friend were adding up everything we've done to our cars to see how much we have in them.

So I ask you guys....Whats your total $$ if you add up everything you've done to your mustang.

This does not include vehicle cost or routine maintenance.

It does include things like:
Exhaust
Tunes
Tires(if upgraded from stock)
Visual
Fluids(if updated royal purple/trans cooler etc.)
Pretty much every possible thing.
*Labor too* forgot that

It took us a while because we kept thinking of more and more(so think it out.)

Needless to say I am too ashamed to say what mine is, but I will after this thread gets rolling a bit haha.

Oh also include how long you've had your car.

Ready.....GO

I have roughly $3500 tied up in stuff on my car. It had a lot on it before I got it though. I have had the car since late september. Mods I bought: BBK strut tower brace, Flowtech longtube headers, O/R x pipe, 75mm TB & UP, CAI, top, headlights, paint, gauges, speakers, SCT flash tuner.

I've had my 03 for a year. I started out keeping track of money spent. Then after I changed wheels 3 times and exhaust system 2 times, I stopped keeping track. It only made me feel bad! But, that being said, atleast I'm not wasting it on drugs or something stupid like that. It's been fun!

i think i added it up and it was around 10k, but it's hard to figure because i changed wheels 3 or 4 times, and exhaust 5 or 6 times.

Right at $8,000 including parts, tune, summer and winter street tires, and track wheels/tires. Does not include labor. About another $900 laying around for the intercooler setup. Have owned the car since 10/2005.

Maybe 500.00 all the rest was included in my purchase price because the previous owner did it all for me!

Bought the car new and put about 12k into car(including parts on hand but not installed). I probably underestimated and I did all the work myself

Mr. Jazzer, I suspect your Griggs suspension wasnt' cheap.

I've got $12,000 over and above the $10,000 I paid for the car 5 years ago. It was a low mileage car until I got it. About a year after I bought the car I thought about trading it for an "05 Mustang GT. The dealership wanted $6,000 plus my car. I decided that I could build a 450 hp car for about the same price as they wanted for a 300 hp car. The price above also includes labor. I don't really like pulling engines and changing transmissions anymore. I have done it and been there in some of the worst conditions imaginable.

Parts and labor for 2008 Aluminator/Kenne Bell build - $31,641.38.

Other crap that I've bought/traded for/or otherwise acquired over the past nine years, probably another $5-7K.

This thread is kinda depressing ahaha. I've owned mine since 08/01/07 (2nd owner). Prob in the low 3K range i've spent ontop of the mustang itself.
