worth the $??
hey fellas, gotta question. I have an o/r x pipe, mufflers, cai, and 4.10s. Im wondering if shorty headers are really worth a couple hundred bucks? im not convinced its worth 1-2whp at most for $ i could put into mounts, shifter, lift bars, tune ect. wat are ur thoughts?

no, put it into suspension mods IMO. if were talking long tubes, then with a blower it'd be worth it, but other than that, i doubt it.

thats what i was thinkin. as for looks i couldnt really care less lol. i want a reliable daily that boogies. so pending $ for very little power to me seems pointless. suspension and traction is more important. i just thought there was something i didnt kno

Def not worth it....ud be better off buying a sct tuner....u will get more power and uses out of it and can use it when u dyno tune your car later

Skip the shorty header man. It's pointless as it does squat on the dyno vs time/money spent. LONGTUBE headers are the way to go period if your looking into doing something like this. Are you installing yourself?

Skip the shorty's! As far as looking better, with the 4.6 you really can't see them anyway. Put the cash in to something that will make a difference. Just my .02

No i wouldnt do it myself. im just 2 lazy for that lol. But im not really considering longtubes either. i run on the street all the time(havent tracked it yet but will) and honestly, for the price of l.t.'s i would be much better off with a set of tires, tune or something else to help her giddy u a bit more. appreciate the input but i thought there was maybe something i wasnt takin into consideration with shorty's. maybe i was sellin myself short w.o them. I can make the car go plenty good down the track or street if it'll hook and its light. Not really into dyno #s ya kno. so ill save the mula. Thanx a bunch guys

Hey, what's this shit of everyone baggin on shorty headers. I've got 'em and they look great and work as far as I know. Oh, wait, I didn't pay for them though. Now I remember why I have them, they were already on the car. My bad. I'll shut up now.
