Would i be able to hook up gauges to a cig lighter? like a secondary power source? I tried out those glowshift gauges and they are supposed to have the memory on the selected color of the pod. The thing here is every time i turn the key in the ignition it kills the power like for a second then they power back up hence killing the memory because the power gets dragged away so i was thinking if there was another power source such as a cig lighter just to keep the memory alive for that second the color would say in that memory??

You can hook them wherever you want. You don't need a constant power source for gauges, you need and ignition switched source.

I hook all my gauges up to the big fat power wire on my head light switch. That way they only turn on when my lights are on

No no i got them hooked on the idnition wire like it was on the installation papers, but everytime you turn the key on the ignition it killes the power for like a sec then returns it i need like a secondary source to keep the memory alive for that second..

They're the glowshift gauges that have the color selection and stores it in memory, but the memory dies when you turn the ignition for a sec

I hate glowshit gauges.

The paper work is pretty clear. You can find info on the tech page of their website.

I had the 7color gauges and they always stayed what ever color I choose.
