question about ud pulleys


i just got some motoblue pulleys and i was told by a mechanic that i know that the crank pulley wouldnt fit because i have a timing adjuster on that pulley now. the timing adjuster was on there when i bought the car. anyone know a way around this??

Got a picture of it? I'm not too sure what your talking about.

I've seen timing marks on older engines. They are spot welded to the timing chain cover and hang over the cranck pulley so you can use a timing gun to see what your timing is. If this is what you are talking about then you should have no problems b/c the underdrive pulley is smaller then the stock pulley.

Maybe he's talking about the steeda timing adjuster? I never seen it in action so I couldn't tell ya lol

thats a mini cooper not a bug, isnt it?

back to matter at hand.... just take the stupid timing adjuster off. waste of money IMO
