Anyone looking into this drag setup?

Rear Suspension Upgrade - Hardcore Hook - 5.0 Mustang & Super Ford Magazine

I'm no drag guy, but I can always appreciate a good suspension setup. Is team z the first to relocate the UCA mounting location? This seems like a pretty solid system with the right adjustment. Looks like they're hoping for 1.3 60's. This is with a 600 hp car though.

team z and baseline both have relocated upper control arms. i saw a guy at the track in a old fox body with 330 hp cutting 1.4 sixty foot times which i was extreamly impressed with. me personaly am going with baseline suspention on my car cause my upr stuff is not working out so well.

Same here on the baseline. Seems like remember hearing that baseline has had the relocated uppers for quite some time and when the patten went public out came team z with their relocated uppers. Could be wrong though.

baselines also cheaper and have great customer service, altho teamz has great service too. My buddy bought the whole rear end kit and it looked top notch, he hasn't got a chance to try it out yet tho.

I've gotta agree with Jeep on this one. There's a lot more to making a car hook than just switching out control arms. I'm running UPR lowers ( I do need to relocate the lowers) and am still dialing it in but it works fine. There are some substandard products out there but essentially a straight arm mounted in a stock location is the same as any other if using equal bushings.

They didn't mention if they ditched the quad shocks or not. That's my question....

I assume you are guessing but my follow up question would be what particular item warranted the elimiation of the quad shocks. I asked UPR on the phone and they didn't give me a traight answer either.

I'll call Team Z and get back to you guys...

As a side note: My car needs a Anti-Roll bar bad!!! I think that will be my next suspension mod. I will have to research the pros and cons. My car still sees light street duty.

What are these quad shock things you speak of?

I hate the effing quad shocks. First mod on every Mustang I lay my hands on. Quads, front sway bar and rear end vibration damper straight in the damned 55 gallon drum.

yea I'm guessing. The solid RLCA's should be able to prevent wheel hop on their own without the aid of quad shocks.

The links can always be disconnected on the anti-roll bar for street use.

I dump the quad shocks in the can even with stock arms. I've never had issues with wheel hop even with stock arms on sticky tires.

You missed the part about the sticky tires.
