How to fix wheel hop???

Anyone got any suggestions? Ive got termi 18s with nt05's and my car wheel hops like a sum bitch. I do have stock uppers, lowers, shocks and eibach lowering springs. My last set of tires, BFG G-force, never wheel hopped and just left pretty black marks. These NT05's wheel hop so bad. Is it the tires or wat? Goin to Daytona this weekend for the rod run and wanna be able to light em up for all the drunks standin on the side of the road.

You say "Termi", but avi says 2K mustang?

So, maybe a '03~'04 swap? If so, than you have an SRA axle and need a set of LCA's, more than anything else. You have grip, but no stable platform in which to put it on the ground.

Am I right?

Jazzer

PS. I think showing off to those standing on the side of the road, is the kind of stuff that will get you in trouble.... but, just sayin'!

I think he is describing the type of rims. A good set of upper and lower control arms will fix your problem.

There's three paths I can recommend.

1) Replace your UCAs with an aftermarket set that uses spherical bushings. This will fix what I believe to be the most direct cause of wheelhop.

2) Replace the LCAs with any decent aftermarket unit, preferably using relocation brackets. This seems to be the most recommended approach that I see on the board.

3) All of the above, then scrap your quad shocks and associated mounts.

Lose the nittos for step one.

Buy a bunch of chromoly suspension parts for step two.

maybe get cheap tires that don't grip for shit. If you are just wanting to lay rubber down to show off to a group of people, why waste a good tire? Also swapping tires is much quicker/easier than doing your suspension.

I really hate that I just typed that out, but it might be your best bet. However its never a bad idea to upgrade at least your rear lower control arms, and that will help a lot.

Mo powa will blow through dem nittos. I have never had prob with wheel hop even when stock but back then I ran cheaper tires. I would suggest running a decent of rear control arms. I would get spherical bushings on the uppers where it connects to the TQ boxes.
