Might want to hit up the detailing section lol, it's there for a reason.

As far as OTC stuff, I like Mothers synwax and mothers aluminum/mag polish. Both work great. I believe you can only get the synwax at orielly's, they also sell the polish.

It would be a great day for detailing here in Minnesota. For the cat back i would use a good degreaser then a polish. That depends on your metal, if its stainless use a polish for that then mothers for the tips. Just get it all off or it will bake when it heats up and could leave a nasty film.

I used the Meguiars Chrome Polish on stainless. It worked well for me.

Borla sells a special cleaner/polish made specifically for SS exhaust. Just Google it. As for the car, I always get excellent results with anything by Maguires. If it hasn't been polished in a while, I would start with a "cleaner wax" and a clay bar treatment, then the final wax.

Valvoline has a line called Carbrite, I like their products. I can honestly say their nanowax is the best wax I have ever seen. They also have a metalbrite that did everything I asked.

Only thing is I don't know if you can get a hold of it, might poke around a bit on detailing websites.

You're thinking of Spurred Snake, but I think you're confusing him with Aces Wild, who did his catback (and entire car)? Check out this thread, page three he talks about polishing the catback:

For the heck of it I bought a bunch of exhaust polish cleaners and tested them out as well as did a mini review for people. That Borla stuff ehhh it's okay but WAYYY overpriced.

Best stuff on the market: Mothers® Billet Metal Polish

As for WAX: Zaino Store

^ We have a local MN dealer who could help you out as well. But overall wax is tricky because everyone thinks they're right (they know the best type/maker) and others are brand loyal. It's personal preference
