High Mileage super charged mustangs!!

Does your mustang have high mileage 80-90k+, is it supercharged?

If so, how does it run? Are you concerned your engine is going to blow up eventually? Have you had any issues so far?

Thanks

80k-90k is no problem for these engines IF they have been maintained properly up to that point. Plenty of guys on here well into the mid 100k with power adders. Go for it!

Yeh I'm going to, just worried it may destroy my engine.

If you don't mind me asking, how come your only pushing 324 rwhp, with the vortech I would think you would be pushing a lot more then that?

I put the supercharger on at 80,000 miles. The car currently has 156,000 miles. The last 76,000 miles were at the power you see in the signature. That dyno day was this year. The car is still running strong. It ran a 12.7 @ 111 mph this fall with a 1.94 60 ft so the car is capable of faster times. It doesn't smoke or use oil and its been a reliable daily driver.

Keep the rwhp to 380-400 and the boost to 9-10 psi. With heads, cams and exhause you can get 425 rwhp at 10 psi. Don't get greedy and don't go above 400 rwhp by just increasing the boost. I'm not the only one that run a supercharger for a lot of miles. On third of the respondants to the below poll had more than 50,000 miles supercharged. Click on the number in each catagory to see their names.

How many miles supercharged?
