just go out have a good time, and listen to your car, it WILL talk to you. I doubt this will happen to ya right now. BUT if she gets sloppy or loose, let out of her. Dont kill yourself.

You have to run a 14.5 1/4 or slower for a passenger

Best I ever ran was 13.5 I'm gonna try to upgrade my suspension with some good control arms and get some full length subframe connectors and try to feather the clutch more I can't get traction for shit... maybe it's my 4.10's *shrugs*

Heh, I beat everything on the street I ever raced with it, went to the track was pretty disappointed with my numbers, I need to get it on a dyno and see what it puts out I was told it drops 400 hp from the dealer I bought it from but I never seen the dyno sheet so it might need a dynotune also... *shrugs* The boost guage will get up to 12 psi on a good run though

13.5 boosted.
Thats what I cant understand about these damn modular motors.
When I had a 89 GT I had a stock short block 5.0 with trickflow heads, stock cam, typhoon intake, headers, borlas, and underdrives, 3.55 gears and ran a 12.95! NA!
If my car didnt have low miles and was paid for this bitch would be getting a 408 stroker thrown at her.

UPDATE: I just found out theres also a test&tune on Saturdays !!! so ill b posting some numbers tomorrow afternoon O.O

i found this old road in some industrial park today near my house and i was testing my jumps and trying to determine a good RPM to float at on the start line. about 3000RPM seemed to work nicely. im smoothly engaging the clutch and im getting the slightest bit of a squeal and what feels like a really kickass launch, im pumped!

okay! heres my times (ill post the pics of slips later but my camera isnt working right now)

1st Run: 15.054 @ 96.98Mph
2nd Run: 14.618 @97.21Mph
3rd Run: 14.517 @97.35Mph
4th Run: 14.554 @97.13Mph

i feel like i did kinda shitty, but it was a complete BLAST. i didn't get to actually have any even races cuz no street cars really go on Saturdays... i was going up against 9 second cars just getting absolutely burned haha.

also, i wasn't burning out before each round ... i just didn't feel comfortable enough, and wanted to get used to the rest of it first. i don't know how much heating up the tires affects times, but ya...

if anyone could let me know what a decent time is for my car for me to compare to, that'd be cool.

im running with a CAI, 4.10 gears and O/R H-Pipe

I think 13.8's aren't out of the question for ya... And I see you kept getting better and better the more you ran. Good job man. I'm afraid to see what I'll run when I finally make it to a track... I should be in the 12's but I'll probably see 16's my first time down the track, lol

Certainly not that bad for a first time run. I'd be scared to see what I'd get. Since your running street tires you're really not supposed to heat up your tires. Street tires aren't made to be effective at high temperatures like stickies and DRs. Just a quick spin to dust them off and your good.
