it can all be done with the stock ecu. also whenever you go intercooled, its best to buy a custom intercooler, the novi intercooler becomes a restriction around 500 hp. and dont get a cheap ebay unit either they are cheap for a reason.

Does anyone know if its possible to reach the 500rwhp mark with a built engine and stock pi heads/intake with a non intercooled novi 2000? The only thing I dont really like about the novi 2000 so far is its not intercooled, and I would have the tap the oilpan. But that might not be a bad thing for the blower to have fresh oil along with the engine when the oil is changed. I guess it is a matter of preference. I'm just trying to see if the paxton is worth buying over procharger? i've heard ALOT of good things about procharger

I am at 436 rwhp with no tune at all in my 2001 GT and a Novi 2000 w/ cams and bolt on's.

I need a new high flow pump and then I will get it tuned. I am hoping it will be in the 470 or above range.

Even with no intercooler it still makes good, dence, cool air. There isnt really a need for the intercooler unless you are going to crank the boost up. Then at the point as it was said. Get a customer one put in.

And like you said. I don't mind that my oil pan is tapped. Every time I change the oil it gets fresh oil too.

easily but itll make the power a lot easier and safer with an intercooler. you can put an intercooler wiht the paxton, youll just have to clock the blower output a different way. dont go with paxtons intercooler though unless your only planning on that 500 rwhp
