what's a good idle rev for launching?
my car idle's at 500rpm at a stop. what sould i get it too for a god slick free luanch. i got 275 tires and 4.10 gears!

umm depends on your suspension mods, and gears and so forth. best way is just to go out and try and practice.
also 500 rpm is low idle, think you have a problem there...

750-800 is what i heard as normal

I would assume an auto in drive with the AC turned on would idle around 500. I know mine being a 5 spd some times dips down to 500 when the AC compresor first kicks in. at a traffic light. |

5speed, never use the ac. is this something i can fix with a tunner or have to take it to a shop? and nobody answered my original question !!!

You can raise your idle with a tuner.
As for the launch, you just need to practice. You don't want the rpm's so high that you spin tires, but you don't want them so low that you bog the car. Its really going to depend on what kind of traction you have, and where you car puts out the most torque.
