Yeah it was the previous owner. I know the guy pretty well. He and another kid I went to school with installed the mufflers. They did a horrible job and it ruined the tips which look cross-eyed.

I installed an off road x pipe a magnaflow one and it sounds beast but now I'm looking to get a catted mos pipe so if anyone has one for trade injave a off road magnaflow with less than 1000 miles on it I just need to pass emissions do I'm willing to trade for a full size catted x pipe. As for the cat back issues maybe you could take it to a mufflers shop and have them use a pipe bender and bend it back or to a place where they fabricate exhausts from scratch and have them cut out the mufflers and buy new pipes and have them weld them back in mufflers and you will be good to go.

I just had my o/r X installed last week, love it - going through chambered mufflers too,,sounds like a beast.

I had the same problem with the PO welding the catback to the stock H. I had a shop do the work for me, and they ordered up a set of flow-tubes like these:

Mustang Exhaust Flow Tubes at LRS - Same Day Shipping!

Cheap, and might fix your problem - if you don't wanna upgrade your cat back right now.

That definitely might be a good option. I have another friend that does a lot of performance work on cars and said he'd take a look at fixing it for me. If not then I'll look around for a good shop to fix the mufflers. I just really don't want to spend $300-$500 on a new catback.

May be a stupid question but I am struggling to get the passenger side of the stock h-pipe unbolted. I could get to the top bolt but cant get to the bottom. Any suggestions? Thanks!

A swivel with some extensions. Shoot some liquid wrench on it too.

I've used PB blaster, but same stuff. Let it soak. I had to hit the stud with a hammer to loosen the rust. I suggest a new gasket on the passenger side (mentioned above) tightened to 30 ft lbs of tq.

I couldn't get the bottom bolt withing using an extended socket that was cut down a bit. It's a tight, tight fit.

I have tried all of this and still no luck. Guess i'll just spray it and let it soak some more, see if that helps at all. Thnaks though!
