2004 mach 1 full exhaust system help??

Anyone have some suggestions on what headers and midpipes would work with a borla exhaust system that i would like to order. its the one that borla's website shows you if you fill out the thing for make, model and such for an 04 mach 1 automatic. im looking for catted H pipes and longtube headers. if you guys could tell me a few set ups that would work that would be greatly appreciated, thanks.

I didn't mean it like that. I thought you might have made your mind up on a Mach1- I was going to ask to see it. As far as exhaust goes, I really don't know what sounds the best on a 4V.

I have ceramic Hooker Super Comp long tubes with their o/r x. These are mated to Borla Stingers. Nice and deep at idle, not alot of drone at cruising speed. They scream at WOT.

Kooks, SLP, and BBK would also be good choices depending on how much you want to spend.

Yeah, but if you want a fast Mach, get some Kooks headers and their mid pipe....

Is that why your R code is so slow? Either that or the nut behind the wheel.

I would liked to have gone with Kooks but I got my SS headers and mid pipe with ceramic for less than the price of Kooks headers alone. Fit and finish was perfect on the Hookers. Besides, I like saying I have a hooker under the hood.

Either way you go, don't do an SLP setup on the mach1, it doesn't sound good.

Probably got a loose nut or two...

I say go with the Kooks because of the fitment and quality of build. But I've also had a set of Hooker headers before that were perfect in every way also. The Kooks will probably be the most expensive set of headers you can buy, but there's a reason for the price.

He's not buying SLP exhaust, he's buying Borla exhaust. I think SLP makes very good LT headers and a catted X pipe. SLP LT headers have some of the best clearance for LT headers.

Yeah, that's gonna be the price of them. If you choose to order from them then just call and specify to a person that you have a Mach 1.

The only way a Mustang could be ricey sounding is if you took out the V8 and put in a 4 cylinder. I don't understand why people still ask his question. You would have to have the worlds crappiest exhaust to have a ricey sounding V8. The tone of your sound is determined by the exhaust not the mid pipe. The mid pipe affects it, but it doesn't completely change the sound of the exhaust.
