Slow_gt,

I like your signature, for 25+ years now I have been telling people that even the best tuner out there started out not knowing squat, And, that there is not one bit of magic or rocket science involved, that even regular human beings can learn to do it--and that doing it yourself, on real surfaces (track or road) under real conditions, will result in a better tune than can ever be achieved strapped down to rollers on a dyno.

A dynamometer is just a convenient tool for determining the effect of changes made, it is by no means the be all and end all of tuning an engine. It's really just a quickie starting point.

If it were more then pro-racers wouldn't bother to tune according to "race day" and track conditions, between runs, and even dynamically and remotely during "roundy-round" races. All of that would be pointless if a "dyno tune" was the ultimate attainable perfection.

It is a Grant 714:

I also have a couple of MOMO wheels (this one, and this one) , and a 13" Ford Racing knock-off)--but the mahogany wheel is my favourite.

These are all mounted with a MOMO 4525 hub, machined so as to accept both the Grant 5-screw and MOMO 6-screw wheels. The opening in the steering column surround is covered with a section taken from the bottom of a 6" wedding cake pan from Walmart.

Note: don't let the "fits 1984-1990 Ford" part scare you off, they just say that to cover their backside should someone buy one, install it on a newer mode, and in the process remove the airbag...

IT was in the context that I need to put some money on other cars also, I know mods aren't worth shit when you are selling the car
