i love the nittto's, that is the best tire i have ever ran. i have ran the bfg g force t/a, the comp t/a, khumo 711 & 712, and the nitto 555's. the nitto was the best tire ive ever ran, then the comp t/a was a really good tire, the g force t/a was a good tire, and the khumo's were just junk.

I have General Exclaim UHP tires which are very good for thier price and everyday driving, but I've never tried them at the track.

have any of you tried the nitto 555's in the rain yet? If so what traction and control did you get?

used to have nittos on an ls1 and i'd rate them 4-5 of 10 in rainy conditions... pretty easy to break loose.

for everyday driving I went with the Kumho Ecsta AST. I like them so far and they handle really well in the rain.

I loved my nittos...

I liked my nittos more then the current tires I run...Right now I run Goodyear GSD3's...And I prefer my nittos to them...And that is what will be going back on my car...

They were not the greatest in the rain but oh you have to sacrafice some...

That's why I have a set of BFG DR's mounted on set of extra rims for when I go to the track.

I think everyone should try some MT ET streets at some point. They are really bad in the rain, but if you take it easy you won't have any problems. And when it's dry, there won't be any other street tire out there that will out do them.

I just got some Falken something or other, some prick slashed 3 of my tires this thursday. I had a set of bf goodrich rsa's and they sucked in the rain. these things really hook up.........it's poring out now......and when i drove my gf to work i had traction. I wasn't racing or anything, but i tend to drive with a heavy foot, and when it's wet i hav ea tendency to slip a little. But today i was fine, I'd go outside and find out what they are exactly, but its poring out and I can always post later.......

Meh, wearing them out quicker just gives me a reason to buy a new set sooner!

Yeah for tires that are $81 a piece, my General Exclaim UHPs are quite good in the rain. Like 96GTRagTop said I tend too be a little heavy footed on the gas and I've only had them REALLY break loose on me once, but I hit a patch of spilled oil in the road that ran down from where these rental trucks park. I tried to take a turn quickly to make a yellow light and the entire car went completely sideways. Scared the hell out of me and several people near me. LOL I really have no complaints for he tire as far as everyday driving, rain or shine.
