Heads and Cams help please!

I was wondering if someone could give me a little info? I have a 2000 GT 4.6 2v. I am gonna do a head and cam swap. My only mods so far are CAI, offroad xpipe, delta flow 40 series flowmasters, pro 5.0 shifter, 4.10 gears. I already have a set of Patriot Performance Stage 3 heads that I was planning on using. I plan on buying Comp cams, but I am not sure which ones to get because I dont want any piston to valve issues. Any help would be appreciated. Also could you tell me what other mods will be required for the head/cam swap. I am gonna put on short tube headers, but what else do I need? Do I need bigger injectors, etc. and what kind of Tune will i need? I know I have asked alot of questions, but if someone could give me some help I would greatly appreciate it.

the comp stage 2 (#102600) seems to be one of the best cams out there. the partiot heads are a decnt head. they arent a highend head but they are average. they had a lot of problems early on in their business but they make a quality product now and dont listen to people who say they are shit cuz they arent. the best out there are prolly the SHM and vt seem to have some problems occasionally but overall a very very good product. i havnt decided on my heads yet, but i am putting those comp cams in mine. they work gret on blower cars, but they will work well with n/a also. im thinking im gonna go with VT stage 2 with my buildup! anyways good luck and let us know how your project turns out. oh and welcome to the site. hope we can be helpful to you. oha dn come by and sign the member's map

Thanks for your reply, do u happen to know whether I will need bigger injectors, fuel pump, and maf. I already plan on adding shorty headers and 70mm throttle body and plenum. And what kind of tune will I need? Thanks for the welcome and I appreciate all the help.

not sure on the injectors, youll be allright ith the stock fuel pump unless you go forced induction, in that case a kenne belle boost-a-pump or some svt pumps. stay away from shorty headers. long tubes are the only way to go if you want to make good power. you should get a dynp tune and g to someone who works through sct stuff and have them write a tune on the dyno for you to maximise all of your mods.
