4r70w Possible Tranny problems

So, my 99 GT sat in my parent's garage for the past 6 months while I was at Ft. Jackson. As soon as I got back, I took it to my local shop to get an oil change. Of course during the fluid check we found absolutely no auto tranny fluid came out on the dipstick. I had to make a trip to Ft. Leonard Wood for a week, left the car at my parents house again for a week and when I took her for a spin today the shifting was rough, it feels like the car struggles to make power through 1st and 2nd gear. My radio just cut off while the car was warming up and it won't turn on so the problem could be an alternator/battery issue. Anybody else had these problems? My real question is could the tranny be going? I was thinking of doing a shift of kit in the near future but it'd be crazy to do it of the tranny mau be bad. Fill me in please.

first things first, see if its leaking fluid and fill it to the proper level.

if you were 3 quarts low and you see no leaks, check the coolant to make sure it doesn't look too nasty. there's always the slight chance it's leaking thru the cooler on the radiator.

We put it up on the lift today and found out its the front seal on the tranny thats leaking! Its going to cost around $300 to get it replaced if the converter is fine. Anybody have any ideas for some noticeable upgrades? I plan on supercharging it sometime later this year or next year.
