Do it in chromoly... Do it once and finish it... I am having to redo mine now, and it kills me. The car is now getting a 25.5 sfi chassis. I have done WolfeRaceCraft cages before and am really pleased with the fit and finishes on them.

Skidad,
Very sexy looking car.

Roll Bars in a Vert is pure sex imo.

FYI,
I have the MM 4 pt. with removable harness and diagonal bars. You can keep the rear seat and remove the bars when you need to put someone back there.

Granted, its not the safest deal in the world, but just to take my family to a show or local meet, its fine. Takes all of 5 min. to remove or reinstall the cross bars.

Install = About 6 hours start to finish by myself. Repainted.

bolt in harness bars are illegal for drag racing though, they need to be welded.

Just saying..
read the caption below the part in the jegs link where they talk about notching tubes/etc.

that cage comes to you in pieces, you have to gut the car & then install it & re-assemble the car, not worth the price diffrence by a long shot.

nothing wrong with that cage if you have a sanctioning body certified welder install it, but it's way overkill for pretty much any car on here.

Yours looks good too. I was after track certified so welded and door bars were a must for me.

I installed one of these while I was working at the shop in a S10. Jegs sends it as a S10 cage, and let me tell ya, I could have made it fit in any car i wanted to after all the cutting and making it fit that had to happen... I will NEVER EVER buy a "jegsters" kit ever again.

I actually am hoping to get my own tubing bender and start building my own cages. But I know of two good places that will sell ya a pre bent.

first is WolfeRaceCraft. the only problem is the shipping time from them...

and then OverKill Race Cars here in Longmont CO makes a NICE prebent mustang cage... Actually starting one of those either tomorrow or the day after in my buddies Fox body...

Sure, the cross bars are my harness bar, so ya. If you want harnesses, then you need the cross bar.

The diaganol bar is just for strength.

They only come in black. I stripped and repainted mine with Appliance Epoxy Paint. Holds up much better.

Haven't had a full pull on the dyno yet - my V2 SQ SI trim is leaking at the seals and the oil is getting on my 8 rib set up. Only seeing 475 rwhp and 430 rwtq on the dyno - boost was down even more at the track... I had a leak in my BOV flange and was only seeing 5 lbs of boost at the track - only put down 12.30 with a 1.63 60 ft so far lol.

Fogged my system and finally found the crack in my flange weld - now swapping my SI headunit out for a YSI over the winter - can't wait to get back on the dyno and off to the track...
