Cobra tank/hat wiring questions
So Im upgrading my fuel tank to 03 Cobra tank, stock 03 Cobra fuel hat (modified) and dual Supercar pumps. It has the stock harness still on the pumps, that has 2 plugs. One plug is the black round one, that goes to my factory body harness.
The other plug confuses me, it is a small, rectangular, light Blue plug. What does this plug do? Im hoping this is plug-n-play as I have enough on my plate with having to run AN line back to my y-block. I'll take a picture if need be but it for sure looks like a stock plug, I never recall seeing it when I dropped my stock GT tank before. Also, I am trying to gather as much reading info on dual FPDM's and such so if you have any good how-to links on this, I'd greatly appreciate it. I've googled a few but all the info I can get is for the better. Thanks!

The plug is there on the tank but when I did the swap I had to cut the GT connector and solder it onto the Cobra harness. The wires are the same color etc the connector is just different.

Rabid is right. Mine came with the connectors, it was just plug and play.
And if you're thinking of doing dual FPDM, do it now. It would be a pain to retrofit it later. You'll have to drill some holes in the hat for the second pump's power wires. A couple writeups for you that work great- WestCoastMustangs.com Tank Removal/Pump Upgrade Step by Step PPRV Delete for Dummies - Step by Step on Vimeo I think derek that did the dual FPDM writeup is on MM too. Black306 or something like that. His page is excellent. I personally did the stand alone plug and play dual FPDM harness rather than splicing. You can grab a second FPDM with the pigtail out of a junkyard for like $25. I also advise the PPRV delete as long as you're replacing pumps. One of those "might as well" mods as long as everything is apart. To prevent kinking look for a 3/8" stainless U-bend. I got mine from a beer supply company from Kenmore, NY. Stal94 recommended it and it worked great. Make sure you get the correct grade hose.

Def do the pprv delete while you have everything out, and my advice is to make sure the clamps on the fuel hoses are as tight as a virgins... yea you know what I mean, only saying that due to past failures.

NXstang lol I like the name! Looks like you run the 1/8th as well, what all is done to the car? And vids @ the track? And if your staying on spray with the stock bottom end a good single pump with possibly a BAP will support more than your bottom end will.

Yes I run the 1/8th, although not as much as I used to. Our local track (10 minutes from me) is 1/8th mile. Best the car has went is 7.47@93.xxmph 1.60 60ft. WE only got a few passes that night and it was cold as hell, so the track on top of my blown struts were not allowing teh hookage. Combo is (well WAS lol): - 96 Teksid block - Cobra crank, forged rods, JE pistons (9.1:1 CR) - stock 96 cobra heads/cams (b-heads) - 96 Cobra intake, short runner (slightly) - SVO single blade TB - JLT RAI - Flowtech LongTube headers w/X-pipe, MAC catback - PA Racing tubular k-member/a-arms, strange coilovers 14/150 springs, strange 10-way struts (blown out) - stock rear shocks/Steeda Sport Springs - spare tire/jack removed - NX Nozzle 150 shot (wet) Had issues with prior tuning so I took it to a new tuner who got it worked out back in August. Didn't get to take it to the track much with family and work, prolly 2-3 outings. Best time came on a 48 degree night.

Sidenote: So I'm getting ready to order a crapton of parts. Already have an 03 tank, stock hat, and gt pumps. I don't feel like messing with the modified stock hat I got so I am going with the Fore Billet hat.
Anyone know where I can pick one of these up at? For a 03 Cobra tank, returnless system. double or triple pump one. Used or new. Will be looking to buy within the next two weeks.

Im running a single Stryker Div X pump with no BAP and it will support way more than my bottem end can handle. And looks like your lauch your front end was bobbin up and down like a boat, maybe try setting your struts a little stiffer or going to a 175lb spring. Also your trap looks low for your mods, I trapped about that with my 2V with cams and a 150 shot but my bottle was almost empty. Hoping for 98+ MPH with about a 7.10-7.20 ET with a full bottle. Do you have a drag bag in the back right? There only $35, ima get one to help with my suspension from unloading after my launch. Anyways good luck with your build man.

MY front struts are completely blown. I bought SN95 Strange struts and since I lowered my car, they blew out in 6 months. Strange told me to f*ck myself when I asked them to stand behind their product.
The motor is low compression, about 8.8:1-9.1:1. I bought the built motor already built. It was built for boost but I was told it was stock CR. It obviously is not, as when I got it dyno'd and asked about it, the guy said "9.1:1 is stock, right?" Then he said he wasn't 100% sure if it was even that high. With higher CR it would be trapping closer to 100mph. I do not have an airbagi n the rear. I had coiloversi n the rear and they were horrible, so I sold them and went back to my stock shocks for the time behind, until I decided what to do. Which is stock (cut) springs, airbag in RR, and strange shocks. new front (fox) struts will settle the suspension out.

Not seen anyone with sucess with C/O's in the rear on our cars yet. Tbird had them but had problems with the eyelet breaking off the shock on every set of rear C/O's, don't know if he ever got it working or not. Im sure they are better if set up right, but not seen anyone on here using them with sucess yet.

Yeah my car hooked worse with coilovers and it rode like shit. Not worth the hassle.
What tires are you running on the rear? Did you go return style fuel system with the division x hat?

How do you like the Hoosiers? I am in the market for new tires and QTP's sound very nice.
