Gear ratios through the years...

I cant find any info on the rear gears that 99-04 Mustangs came with for standard vs optional, manual vs auto... Anyone have this info we can post here and possibly add to a sticky for future knowledge.

Mostly im curious to whats in my 04 GT, but then again I see all these 4.10vs3.73 posts and just would like to see where we stand from the get go...

I went from 3.27 on my auto to 4.10 te best mod for the money ive ever done but my gas tank hates me so does my wallet now

Called ford and ran my vin and my 04 GT auto has 3.27 but I converted to 5speed

I'm guessing you are talking about a Mustang before 1999, because 2002 GT's did not come with 2.73's.

94-02 manuals had a 3.27 ratio. 03-04 manuals had a 3.55 ratio. I could be wrong but i think autos had the option for 3.08 or a 3.27 gear.

They all should have 3.27's, 03-04 do not have 3.55's.

All 99-04 GT's have 3.27s stock. Mach 1s and cobras have 3.55's stock. Auto or 5 speed. Not sure what the 99 and 01 cobras had.
