Stall Recommendations
Im sure theirs plenty of info for the 4r70w stalls, if anyone can help me find some top notch info.
Tearing my v6 down to do some repairs, if all goes well, I might look into a stall while my engines being torn apart (hell ive started and taken the lower intake off today). But its a N/A V6 build 230whp w/ a stock autp, stock ds, and a 8.8 rear from a GT w/ a rebuild kit and 3.73s. So obviously im not built to lanuch at something crazy, nor do I have the tq to do that.... As far as tq and rpm ... the damn dyno couldn't get a clear rpm signal ... FML Anyways, im thinking a launch around 2800-3200 maybe ? Help me out experts (not to many know about this kinda stuff in the V6 section, so Ive come to the big boys :p) Ohhh and its probably going to see nitrous one of these days. |

A 2800-3200 stall would be a good guesstimate, but a dyno sheet would verify that.

This thread can be deleted.
Thanks tang, but I finally found that Dirty Dog to help alot, Alan has a bit of xp w/ the V6 platform which can easily vary in itself, and is much different then the modular platform. |

Yep, Alan knows what he's doing.
You're in good hands there.

3200 for sure minimum for your setup. When you spray it, count on seeing 3600ish on the flash. a 3200 with 3.73's is a fantastic daily driver setup!!

Wha Wha !!! we have a rep now !!!!! I checked out your reviews on the LS1 forums and seen you all over it, even seen something about an end of year special !!!!
You guys seem to have great reviews, and for my power range you'll provide more then enough quality I hope, especially at your prices. Ive been emailing you guys back and fourth about my setup, idk if it was you Ive been speaking with or not though. About time you got your arse here to MM !!!! Welcome to the forum and I hope to see positive things come out of this. Heads should be checked out tomorrow. Leaning on the head gaskets and using the copper spray as my issue and hoping nothing will be wrong with the heads, if so, you'll get an email on the stall asap ! |

nice to see some people come out of the closet on this now. I know a few people around here do, and if all goes well ill be added to that list. Im lookint at a stage 4 carbon clutch, spring, anti baloon plate, 3200 right now. Specced as a 4 for nitrous use. I plan on eventually putting some spray on my car and calling it quits.

Went from a best of 2.15 60' to a 2.03 so far. They seem to keep dropping and dropping. I guess Im learning the stall better and better.
