eBay alternators?

I need an 03/04 cobra alternator and I was looking on eBay and there's some for $60-100. Are these legit or eBay pos's?

eBay doesn't sell generators any more than Craigslist does, they just have a place for people that do sell stuff to place ads--and that's the problem. For $60 to $100 they are likely just replacing the diodes, bearings. etc. that happen to be bad, as opposed to a complete tear down and rebuild.

'Twas me I'd pay the extra money and get one with a lifetime warranty from a FLAPS ($210 at Autozone). The other advantage to buying locally is that you can always go back and grab someone by the neck if it get's down to that--if something goes wrong with an eBay purchase you might just end up with a ugly paperweight and string of of unanswered emails...
