Cheapest Way To Spray...

So basicaly... Whats the cheapest way for me to do a 50-100 shot of nitrous? Dry or wet? What brand? Im already looking into my safety areas so dont worry bout that... Ima be getting a window switch an if the kit doesnt come with it a WOT switch an bottle heater a purge kit and also the blow down tube or what ever you call it i cant remember rite now... An i been hearing ill need a tach adapter for the window switch.. An another thing whats the biggest shot i can spray am get away with not having a custom tune

100 shot on the stock tune all day. or on your current tune as long as its not too agressive

i'd go with a wet kit...any brand will work. i like harris speed works and nitrous express

Definitely do NOT do a dry kit. Here is a quote from the NX website:
"Every intake manifold made, either by the factory or the aftermarket is a compromise. No two cylinders get the same amount of air. Try as they might even the best sheet metal race intakes flow differently across all cylinders. When dry nitrous is introduced into the intake air stream of any intake manifold every cylinder will get a different amount of nitrous. Some will get more, and some will get less. Now, where does the fuel come from to utilize this nitrous? It comes from the stock injectors. Being an inanimate piece of hardware all it knows to do is introduce a predetermined amount of fuel into the cylinder that the ECM tells it to. This is without regard to how much nitrous actually got to the cylinder. Therefore every cylinder will be either rich or lean, but none will have the correct air/fuel ratio. Depending on how far this ratio is off will determine how much damage is going to happen to this cylinder. Very small amounts of nitrous can be successfully introduced without damage but the resulting imbalance of nitrous/fuel is always harmful to the engine."

Don't run nitrous with the 93 tune. Just modify the stock tune for your gears.

*edit* also, don't forget the little things you're going to need to spray. Colder plugs, a fuel rail adapter, etc (I went with zex plugs and a zex adapter). Maybe look into getting the NX genX II upgrade kit. It comes with a pressure regulated bottle heater, a liquid filled nitrous pressure gauge, a purge, and a blow down tube. It's a bit on the pricey side, but it's a great kit. Anyway, if you end up getting a used kit to save money, make sure that you have enough cash left over for little pieces that you're gonna need. Wires, splices, grommets, switches, plugs, fuel rail adapter, possibly more lines, fittings, etc. The little things are the reason I'm finally installing my first nitrous kit on my car, after owning 3 seperate kits. Ended up selling the first 2 because I didn't have the funds to finish it up and I got impatient.

Dynotune Nitrous is also very cheap..

I would like. To add that the kits on Summit aren't too badly priced. The Baseline Nitrous Express kit runs 300 bucks and comes with a free pressure gauge. I personally went with a Proton kit from NX when I had my sixxer motor. It is identical to the Zex kit except cheaper.

This true? An when you say dont run the 93 tune ill still have to run 93 too spray rite? Like as far as the fuel grade not the tune

Nitrous Express (NX) - SummitRacing.com

they don't include a free gauge anymore but do give 30 summit bucks with the purchase of it.

Retard timing 1 degree per 50 shot

What makes the Sniper kit better than the other kits in the same price range? The orange bottle?

TNT nitrous makes a nice T/B plate kit.

I have also had good experiances with ZEX kits and they are pretty reasonable use.

Buy my kit and save a ton of money

Includes everything from the Zex wet system and some additional toys: 10lb tank, solenoids/control unit, plate nozzle, lines, window switch with gear skip function, jets, bottle heater, purge solenoid, switches, gauge, etc. I'll also throw in a new set of NGK spark plugs if the price is right.

I also have a Diablosport Predator for sale if you need one. PM me if you want to discuss price.

I aploigize not going into great detail about my reasoning, and the NOS sniper kit is somthing I recommend as I have actually used it before with great success..

I also saw someone recommended Dynotune Nitrous, I would also have the stand by that company as I have bought and used multiple kits from them for motorcycles I have had when I use to drag race them a few years back, I have used 5 dry kits from them and converted 2 of those kits to a wet direct port system.

And my statement of not wanting the words cheap and nitrous in the same sentence is due to this is where you hear the horror stories of Nitrous sucks and it blew my motor and all of those shinanagans... I have been using Nitrous for 10yrs with no incidents knock on wood and its because building or using the right kit and knowing the limits of nitrous and taking proper safety precautions.

Honestly though, there is no "cheap" way to spray. I wouldnt just buy a zex kit and call that safe. Id run everything to guarantee its safe. Purge kit, bottle warmer, bottle pressure gauge, Id run a fuel pressure guage (BaznastyDave was getting a real nasty lean spike) etc.....
