people with proxes tq/r888's

Gotta get new dr's this summer, I got almost 15k on my 555r's but want to try something different. I've narrowed it down to one of the toyo's because I need something that i'll get some decent mileage out of, these will just be street tires now that i have slicks for the track. So for any of you that has these tires, my main questions are what kinda mileage are you getting out of them and how do they work in the rain?

I run them from March to October and for the last two years. They are not going to be very good on the 1/4 mile, as they are specifically designed for lateral grip. I have gotten about 8K out of my first set and appears I will get the same out of this set. I run about 8 HPDE days a year and spent a day around Infineon on my first set. I drive them very hard on AX events and, at times, push them pretty hard out on the back-roads.

If you just mellow DD your ride on these tires, you might get 12K~15K

thats some pretty decent mileage out of them jaz. a few people told me the r888's take launching about the same as the 555r's do. and seeing as i'm an auto it's always easier on the tires anyways. I'm just really up in the air right now between the toyo's and going back to 555r's.
