hey bud did you ever find your drain.

I am trying to trace my down again in my 2000 GT Vert...

Pretty annyoing....I have a draw of aprx 1.4 amps........as of today in the car i've yanked out all the radio, power windows, door locks, trac control switch, convertible top switch, and power trunk...and battery is still dying......Maybe i should go after the main fuses under the hood first???

This was my problem. My car got to where if I drove it everyday, it would start perfectly but two day's and the battery would be toast! I bought a battery tester from Harbor Freight and found my problem. With the battery under a load it would drain down within five seconds! I also tested this after recharging the battery by turning the key on and just by turning on the radio, I could watch the factory voltage guage drop to low within a minute!

This is what I did. I was able to narrow down my drain to the circuit for the Instrument Cluster/ECU. When I pull that fuse the light goes out, no change with any other fuse. Now I have to figure out what in that circuit is messed up.

Ok still waiting on my stuff from harbor freight to finish testing.

but what fuse or fuses run the amp if applicable (is it one of the radio one's or one of the mains from the distribution box)? also on a vert where are the amps. Figure i'll poke around some more tomorrow as car is on the charger for the night.

thanks for the feedback
