Just remember that with the stock GT bumper the heat extractor won't fit perfectly. It will have a bit of a gap. It was made that way because of how the Termi front bumper is. Some people don't care, but others that bugs the shit out of them. Personally I say get the cowl hood. I may just be saying that because I haven't had one, but thats what I would do. The Termi hood is taller than the stock hood as well minus the scoop.

I'd only run a big cowl if I had something underneath it, like a high rise box intake, carb, bigass blower, etc...

Just

I get what your saying. But I also haven't had it too long, and just purchased a procharger p1sc... so hopefully that will cover the power to be able to have the big hood lol

It's a start.

Of course I also like being fairly stealthy. If I could find myself a cheap 03/04 V6 hood I'd grab one. It'd match my "V6" badge on my decklid, and would definitely not give anyone the idea I might be hiding a ported/pullied/cammed Cobra motor under the rather tame looking hood. Now I just need to figure out how to hide the intercooler...

Kind of funny coming from one of the guys that would need the extra hood clearance the most huh?

I wish I could post pics from my iPod touch. I have a 99 gt with a 99 cobra front bumper and a Mach 2" hood it's not the Mach 1 hood but it's called that it's the ram air one. Kinda looks like a ws6 hood. It fits with the cobra bumper perfect but not the gt hood cause I think it's made to look like 2 slits of a snake nose you know the one I'm talking about.? From inside it looks sick too better than the stupid hood scoop. But I agree I don't like the cowl hoods and unless I needed one wouldn't sport it. Mine is super aggressive looking. Haven't seen another mustang with one out here .

+1 on the cobra hood. However, if the gap bothers you, you can get the Cervini's version. Identical in looks but fits the GT bumper with no gap. It's expensive though, close to 600 bucks, without paint. I personally would deal with the gap and just buy a real one used.
