Help me out please! Intercooled vs aftercooled?

For Sale 99-04 4.6 Vortech v1 S-trim w/ aftercooler - Ford Mustang Forums : Corral.net Mustang Forum

I am looking at this kit and wanting to buy it soooo bad but I want to make sure aftercooled is okay and how to make sure I dont get screwed! How to pay and such for a big purchase from an individual?

idk about the aftercooled part it should be cool its not the most popular choice but you should be fine.

You should pay with paypal and make sure that you send the money as goods or services and not as a gift. Also if you have the cash have someone pay with their credit card company and give them the cash for it (or use your own card if you have one) in case something happens you can have the credit card company go to bat for you.

Keep screenshots of all your messages and save all receipts phone numbers addresses transaction numbers and all other correspondence

Technically, all "intercoolers" for centris are actually aftercoolers since the cooling takes place after the head unit.

wont after coolers eventually heat up because water/coolant can only hold so much heat?

YEP! they are good for thr track though bc you can dump ice into them. But for daily use its said theat the intercooler is quite better. But the aftercoolers alone are on the expensive side and i guess it would be better than non ic.

Buy it! Sell the aftercooler for $800 easy then buy an intercooler. Intercooler is so much more consisten. Water holds heat forever
